The Napoleon Chess Trophy is an exhibition taking place on 16 February 2019 in La Roche-sur-Yon.
The French city, founded by Napoleon Bonaparte, will commemorate the 250th anniversary of the birth of the famous Emperor and chess player.
It will feature a match between French Top GM -World #7- Maxime Vachier-Lagrave and Dutch big hope, GM and World Junior #8 Jorden Van Foreest.
Seven blitz games will be played, two standard blitz, two games with the Napoleon Opening (1.e4 e5 2.Qf3), two Chess960 games and one blindfold game.
Opening Ceremony Saturday at 12:30 UTC, start of the match at 13:00.
